Hi,
I just finished a small script, which announces user's birthdays on channels.
You can grab it from my projects page or here if you're lazy.

Update: Just added -date -next to show five upcoming birthdays.
Update 2: Added leap year support to the script.
Update 3: Added birthday lookup by auth names.

greetings, Daniel.

I just finished some of the feature requests for news.tcl (6.10).
Here's the list of new features:
  • Added "%n" (newline) identifier to split lines.
  • Setting "timestring=disabled" will prevent the bot from announcing new items.
  • Stripping lines down to "maxlength" chars.
  • Sending urls through tinyurl.com if they're longer than "tinyurl" chars.

Let me know if you want to see any new stuff in upcoming versions. I'll try to add it as soon as I get some time for tcl'ing :)

Update: Latest version is 6.11, read the ChangeLog for more information.

I just discovered a bug in my Atom feed that caused my script (and probably more) to spew all entries if a new one is added, I apologise for any annoyance that may have caused...

Hi!
I've had some time to update the page code and content again, here are some changes:
  • Fixed the 404 that occured when you tried to write comments...
  • Shoutbox entries now have their id displayed
  • The shoutbox popup is now split into several pages (20 shouts/page)
  • Extended the Projects page
  • Updated the Atom xml feed to version 1.0
  • My pastebin is online again, happy spamming! <3
  • And some minor, internal changes, which you will probably never notice. :anal:
That should be enough for today, cu! :giggle:

A big THANK YOU goes to SMeK, who gave me some webspace for my page.

I now have a place for my scripts and pointless news again, that makes me pretty spammy.. err happy!

I still have to change some of the banner images on this page, though. :)

There's not much to say, I did some cleanups on the page code and added the Projects page.
It contains a list of my recent projects and a small description for each of them, this should make it easier for you to see what a script/program actually does.

:greenprobe: There's a new version of news.tcl, check out the project page.

:!: Please add your feedback!
